Carlos Augusto Lobaton (101 ') and Juan Vargas (111') scored the many Peruvians in overtime.

Colombia learned the lesson the hard way: not enough to take good care of the arc. If the ball hits, it will not get major achievements: missed a penalty when the score was 0-0 and then two errors keeper 'Neco "Martínez in overtime gave Peru the way to the semifinals and Colombia, ticket home.

Peru was a serious team, who put obstacles to the exit of Colombia, by hook and by crook, to the point that the referee Francisco Chacon took the first yellow card in the first minute. To prevent the escape of Camilo Zuniga, sent there to Juan Vargas restless. Carlos Sanchez Peruvian always had a close when he received the ball. Guarin and Aguilar were lost and what Colombia was able to create the sides.

However, despite the fact that the Peruvians left hardly move the ball in yellow shirts, Colombia was something closer to the goal in this first stage. Peru only bothered with two shots from outside the area, one of Vargas and a Paolo Guerrero.

In the second part, Peru attacked first and then decided to withdraw. Colombia, which gradually approached the arch Raul Fernandez, found himself faced with the possibility of winning a game cerradísimo, after Alberto Rodriguez brought down inside the area Dairo Moreno. However, Falcao Garcia, the same that even he bounced the ball in the Porto and entered the arch rival, did not even hit the goal ...

The game was still extra time n which Peru risked a little more and ended up winning, at 11 the first time, "Neco" badly cut out a center, left the ball bouncing in the area and claimed the error Lobaton. And then a terrible rejection of goalkeeper ended in both Juan Vargas at 6 in the second. That was it.
